FAQs

Here are some frequently asked questions. If your query is not enlisted here, feel free to reach out to us and we’ll be happy to assist you.

  • Private healthcare in the UK is consultant-led and patient-directed. As a private patient, you may be able to be seen faster than on the NHS and have more flexibility in appointment times. You will have direct contact with the consultant you choose, and your consultant will personally care for you and your condition.

You will decide together if any diagnostic tests (such as blood tests or scans) are needed to make a diagnosis. Your consultant will then discuss the treatment plan with you. If treatment is recommended, you will have the choice whether to proceed with private treatment or have NHS-funded care.

If you choose private treatment with us, you will be provided with detailed information about your condition and the treatment options you have. You will also be guided on when your treatment will take place, the follow-up that you may need for your condition, and how you can pay.

  • No. Many patients choose to self-pay for their treatment. Some may have private healthcare insurance from their employer. If you do choose to use your healthcare insurance, you may want to check what is covered by your insurance provider, as you will still have to pay for any care that isn’t covered by your policy.

  • It is advised that you are referred through your GP. A private referral can be made by your NHS GP or by a private GP. However, we are also happy to accept self-referrals and referrals from another doctor.

  • The cost of an initial consultation is £200, and the cost of a follow-up consultation is £150.
